Fall Bazaar

Bazaar Donations Requested~ The Fall Harvest Bazaar Committee is seeking donated items to be sold on the Silent Auction at our Fall Bazaar on November 8.  Handmade items such as paintings, cross-stitch pictures, knitted items and wood crafted pieces are very welcome.  Antiques are also very popular.  We have also sold firewood that was cut, delivered and stacked.  Service items such as babysitting, yard-work, or food items (dinner or dessert-of-the-month) are also well received.  If you are willing to donate something for the Silent Auction, please contact Sheri Salmonson (679-4853) or Carol Allman(679-3380).  In order for these items to be displayed and bid on, please have your items or a picture of them at the church by October 10.  Thank you very much.

Apples  Needed~ If you have extra apples in your orchard, would you please consider donating some to the committee that makes apple pies for the Fall Harvest Bazaar?  If you would be able to donate apples, please contact Lydia Franko at 320-237-1207.  Thank you.

A GRACE COUNTRY HARVEST FALL BAZAAR UPDATE

Plans for the annual fall bazaar, SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 8th, have begun.  Here is a SEPTEMBER CHECKLIST.

Canners – Now is the time for canning.  Are you thinking what jams, jellies, pickles, and salsas you can make?

Gardeners - Don’t forget about the GARDEN OF GRACE – the place to sell squash, potatoes, apples, plants, dried flowers and dried flower arrangements.

Handiworkers – Have you started sewing, knitting, crocheting or cross-stitching?  Dish towels, aprons, and place mats are only a few ideas.

Woodworkers – Have you gotten your ideas for wood working projects?

Card makers – Are you stamping a variety of cards for “GRACEMARKS”.  Cards for all occasions sell well.

Crafters- How are your craft projects coming along?  Now is the time to get those projects started.

Cookie Bakers – All members are asked to bake at least 6 dozen CHRISTMAS cookies to be sold at the COOKIE LANE on bazaar day.  Last year over 700 dozen cookies were sold!  We are the bazaar known for our great Christmas cookies.  We need even more than last year.

Lefse Bakers- Lefse will again be made at the church and sold on sale day.

Pie Bakers – Apple pies will again be made at church and sold on bazaar day.  We are looking for donations of apples.  Please contact Lydia Franko(320-237-1207) if you have apples to donate  Last year over 40 apple pies were made!

Grandma’s  Attic – We will again have a Grandma’s Attic this year.  We are emphasizing “treasures from the past”. Do you have some special treasured or vintage items you could donate?

Many people are needed to work on sale day at various tasks.  If you are able to help out, please let Diane Runquist or any committee person know! Come and join us.  It is a fun day for all.
